
Here are a few basic treat recipes to try in your kitchen:
PB & Banana Treats
2 very ripe bananas
1½ cup quick oats
1/3 cup peanut butter
PB & Banana Treats – Variation
1 large egg
½ cup mashed ripe banana ~1 large banana
3 tablespoons creamy, natural peanut butter
1 cup rolled oats
Blueberry Bites
1 cup (100g) blueberries fresh, frozen, or dried
¾ cup (60g) oats
1 ½ cup (180g) whole wheat flour
2 eggs
¼ cup (64g) peanut butter
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
⅛ – ½ cup (59g – 118g) warm water
Carrot Oat & Applesauce Treats
½ cup (40g) oats
½ cup (122g) unsweetened applesauce
½ cup (70g) carrot (about a large) finely grated
½ cup (60g) all-purpose flour
DIRECTIONS:
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Mix the ingredients of the recipe you are using into a bowl. (For the “people” batch you will want to add ¼ to ½ cup of sugar or other sweetener of your choice.)
- Drop mixture onto lined cookie sheet in spoonfuls, or roll out and use cookie cutters for fun shapes, until there are 16-20 of them.
- Bake 12-15 minutes.
